After over 30 years serving children, youth and families in law, psychology and education, Tricia Teal decided to use her experience and lessons learned to open the nonprofit Above and Beyond: Children & Community Services.

Tricia spent four years as an elected officer of The Children's Cabinet of Seminole Cabinet and continues as an advisor on the Executive Team. She also is a Wraparound Trainer, Consultant and Certified Coach. Her passion for children and the rights of families drives Tricia as she tirelessly strives to strengthen services available to our community and across the nation.

At Above and Beyond, we want to improve lives by providing services designed to strengthen children, youth, adults and families. As an organization, we stand by the principles of Family Driven/Youth Guided Care, Cultural and Linguistic Competency, Individualized/Community Based Services and Trauma Informed Care.

Above and Beyond began in 2010 with a small group of committed individuals. We wanted to provide a more comprehensive array of services for families and become a model and leader in Central Florida. We opened our home-like office at 705 W. 1st St. in Sanford in 2012.

Above and Beyond continues to be a leader in Seminole County and Central Florida by screening children for placement, training teachers to understand children’s behavior and mental health, providing parenting classes, handling care coordination, advocating for system changes, consulting for program development and training on the Protective Factors to reduce child abuse and neglect, as well as serving on various collaborative committees.
Above and Beyond lends our expertise to those who care about children, youth and families across the United States through consulting and training services.
